Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a subscription box?

No. The Sower’s Reserve is not a subscription.
It is a private membership that guarantees first-right access to our annual Wagyu and poultry harvest before anything is made available to the public.
You only purchase what you choose, at harvest time — always at private member pricing.

Why is there a membership fee if meat isn’t included?

Our farm is intentionally small — built for integrity, not scale.
Demand already exceeds what our land can supply.
The membership exists so that the families most philosophically aligned are guaranteed access first — not whoever arrives at checkout fastest.
Your fee secures your place in the line that never closes on you.

Do I have to pre-buy my meat now?

No. You only pay the annual membership now.
When harvest season comes, you’ll get first notice before the public and can then purchase the amount you want — or pass that year.
You are securing access, not obligation.

What if I skip a year? Do I lose my spot?

No. As long as your membership remains active, your spot is held for you every year — whether you purchase meat that year or not.

Is this really healthier than grocery store “organic” beef and chicken?

Yes — completely different universe.

Our Wagyu are 100% grass-raised and grass-finished, tiny amounts of organic grain and minerals are provided in order to ensure optimal nutrition.

Our chickens are Freedom Rangers — raised fully on pasture, moved daily, never confined inside or artificially-inflated.

This isn’t marketing. This is nutritionally and metabolically superior food.

Do you ship? Or is this pickup only?

Yes we ship. Pickup can be arranged.

How much will the meat cost?

It depends on what it costs to raise each round of animals. We don’t raise our prices because beef prices increase at Costco. Last year our Wagyu priced out at $16/lb and our chickens averaged $15/bird. We don’t anticipate significant changes for 2026. There can be additional charges depending on your location and your butchering preferences, but you will have the opportunity to choose all of that. Regardless we are confident you will not find a better value for the quality any where in the market.

Can I pay with Bitcoin?

Bitcoin is preferred. Fiat is tolerated.
This farm operates on proof-of-work principles — and we honor honest money the same way we honor honest food.

What happens when the 40 memberships are gone?

The 2026 enrollment closes permanently.
No additional memberships will be offered that year.
Future access will only open again if capacity increases — and will always honor existing members first.

Why should I join now instead of waiting until harvest?

Because once the 40 spots are filled, they are gone.
And the families inside will never worry again — while everyone else will be competing for leftovers on the open market.
